The list of 50 songs is frequently refreshed with a new mix.

Earlier this year[, Spotify shared](https://newsroom.spotify.com/2020-04-14/spotify-listeners-are-getting-nostalgic-behavioral-science-writer-david-disalvo-and-cyndi-lauper-share-why/?ref=hypebot.com) how there’s been an uptick in the number of listeners who were seeking out music from the ’50s, ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s. As behavior science writer [**David DiSalvo**](https://www.daviddisalvo.org/daviddisalvo?ref=hypebot.com) said then, “Music, like smell, is one of those things with immediate access to that direct, nostalgic memory. It takes you back to that place.”
