**UPDATE:* Spotify has confirmed that their first browser-based player is currently in beta and should be released to all users in the coming weeks.*

Spotify will begin rolling out it's much requested and long rumored browser-based player music player in beta today, according to reports. The news comes on the heels of a new [$100 million funding round from Coca-Cola](https://www.hypebot.com/is-coca-cola-musics-new-sugar-daddy-spotify-grabs-100m-from-coke-goldman-sachs/), Goldman Sachs and others first reported late yesterday.

  
"From the looks of it, the web player looks a lot like its desktop counterparts on Mac and Windows, including search, Spotify Radio, playlist editing and creation, and a 'What's New' section," according to entertainment and gadget site [The Verge](http://www.theverge.com/2012/11/15/3649068/spotify-browser-player-web-app?ref=hypebot.com), who broke the story.

Audio and banner ads will reportedly be part of the new player which will roll out to all users in the coming months.
