Check out this “must see” video by Stevic MacKay of the Australian band [Twelve Foot Ninja](https://www.twelvefootninja.com/?ref=hypebot.com). This is one of the best critiques of the market centric or “big pool” royalty model and complete defense of user centric I’ve seen since Sharky Laguana’s seminal post (“[Streaming Music is Ripping You Off](https://medium.com/cuepoint/streaming-music-is-ripping-you-off-61dc501e7f94?ref=hypebot.com)“). If you haven’t engaged on the topic yet, take a few minutes and watch the video–I wish I’d seen it when we wrote the [WIPO study on streaming remuneration](https://www.wipo.int/meetings/en/doc%5Fdetails.jsp?doc%5Fid=540735&ref=hypebot.com) and I would have definitely included it.
