Can we take two more years of this?

No, (this time) I don’t mean Bush.

The worldwide music industry faces two more years of falling CD sales that will not be offset by downloads according to a [new study](http://www.forbes.com/business/feeds/afx/2007/04/09/afx3593490.html?ref=hypebot.com) from media research firm Enders Analysis. The company predicts that overall music sales by 2009 will be half the level of the peak CD boom. Global music sales are forecast to fall to $23 billion in 2009 far below the peak of $45 billion in 1997.
