Indie label [**This & That Tapes** ](https://thisandthattapes.com/htd?ref=hypebot.com)produces a wickedly cool lo-fi magazine about cassette culture called **[Hit the Decks ](https://thisandthattapes.com/htd?ref=hypebot.com)**and you – musicians, writers, and artists – can be part of Issue #2.

This & That honcho Joe Carlough, who also happens to be a [Touring 101](https://online.berklee.edu/courses/touring-101?ref=hypebot.com) student of mine at [Berklee](https://online.berklee.edu/?ref=hypebot.com), describes the effort and how to submit to Hit The Decks:

> **“When I started This & That Tapes, I wanted to start a community. I wanted to get to know you, all of you. I wanted to know the names of the people who bought my cassettes, I wanted to meet you at events, I wanted you to know each other.”**

> **“As T&TT hits 2.5 years old, I feel really proud of the community gathering around me, but you know what? I think we can do better.”**  
>  
> **“So I’m asking you – all of you – to submit something cassette-themed to the next issue of Hit the Decks! Art, songs, essays, poetry, comics, doodles, lyrics, photos, whatever.”**  
>  
> **“I want it, as long as it’s about cassettes. There will even be an album download of your music, so send me your songs (these don’t have to be cassette-themed, haha).”**
