# SubmitHub AI Music Detector Exposes Huge Disclosure Gap

AI music detection has moved from a theoretical concept to a necessity for everyone from Spotify to everyday artists and fans. 

As generative audio tools become standard features in digital audio workstations, music platforms are struggling to answer a critical question: how much AI is actually hiding in today's music submissions? 

**SubmitHub’s** [**SH Labs**](https://www.submithub.com/?ref=hypebot.com) **analyzed over one million track releases in July 2026 to find out, revealing massive adoption rates alongside a glaring disclosure problem.**

### Key Stats: AI Music Creation at a Glance

- **Total AI Involvement:** **38.5%** of all analyzed tracks contained AI audio elements, according to SubmitHub.
- **Fully AI-Generated:** **23.2%** of tracks were built entirely by AI.
- **Hybrid Tracks:** **15.3%** used AI audio that was subsequently edited or processed by humans.
- **The Disclosure Gap:** **31% of artists whose tracks flagged positive for AI explicitly claimed they used zero AI tools.**

### **The Rise of Hybrid Music and the Disclosure Gap**

SubmitHub's dataset reveals that the industry is rapidly entering a "hybrid" era. Rather than choosing strictly between fully human or fully AI-generated tracks, creators are increasingly blending both—using generative stems, AI vocal processors, and modified synthetic samples alongside traditional songwriting.

However, artist self-reporting is falling behind reality. During submission, 31% of artists who tested positive for AI audio denied using it. This discrepancy proves that platform self-reporting requirements are no longer sufficient on their own.
