It's the second year that music tech has had a category of its own, and I've been honored to serve on the advisory board and first round jury for both years. Judges for music tech finals at SXSW range from musicians Michael Franti and Kristin Hersh (Throwing Muses, co-founder CashMusic) to music tech xecs Jed Carlson of ReverbNation and Ian Rogers of Topspin.
