Mark the date – **Thursday,**  
**August 1st** – Registration and Housing for SXSW 2014 (March  
7-16) Music, Film and Interactive opens. The  
SXSW [PanelPicker](http://panelpicker.sxsw.com/faq?ref=hypebot.com), their community conference-building platform, opens for new  
ideas on Monday, July 1.

**PanelPicker Rules& How To Showcase At SXSW 2014**  

**Panel Picker Rules:** PanelPicker is a two-step  
online system. Step One encourages the community to submit proposals for  
daytime conference programming at SXSW at [http://panelpicker.sxsw.com](http://elizabeth.cmail1.com/t/y-l-tytylhl-yktihkslr-k/?ref=hypebot.com) beginning Monday,  
July 1, 2013 through Friday, July 26, 2013\. Step Two allows the community to  
browse all of these ideas and rate which of these proposals they think are the  
best fit for the March events. Community voting begins Monday, August 19, 2013  
and will continue through Friday, September 6, 2013\. Votes from the community,  
along with feedback from SXSW Advisory Boards and the SXSW staff, will help  
determine programming for the 2014 event. Additional information including  
categories, presentation formats, and the user-generated tags feature built in  
to PanelPicker can be found at [http://panelpicker.sxsw.com/faq](http://elizabeth.cmail1.com/t/y-l-tytylhl-yktihkslr-u/?ref=hypebot.com). The first  
round of confirmed programming for all three conferences will be released on  
Monday, October 14, 2013.

**Showcase:** Beginning one month earlier, the official [Sonicbids application platform](http://marketing.createsend5.com/t/y-l-tyojyl-bhitdoui-o/?ref=hypebot.com) opens July 9.  
The application fee will be raised after September 7.

Also moved up, the final  
submission deadline is October 11.
