OK, I'm going to just say it. I used to make fun of **Taylor Swift** as another lightweight pop star. She still is **unlikely to join the pantheon of musical geniuses** and pioneers. But when an artist **consistently delivers mega-hits** while cultivating an image that is **more about self-empowerment** than sex and money, **she deserves respect**. 

The list of Taylor Swift's accomplishments keeps growing after her most recent video 'Blank Space' became the fastest video to hit 1 billion views on the Vevo music video service.

Swift tweeted on Monday afternoon:
