**Tech the Halls**

Digital communications agency Horn Group this week announced [Tech the Halls](http://www.horngroup.com/techthehalls?ref=hypebot.com), a fundraising event for [One Laptop Per Child](http://one.laptop.org/?ref=hypebot.com) with **donations already being accepted [at CrowdRise](http://www.crowdrise.com/techthehalls?ref=hypebot.com)**.

The goal of Tech the Halls is to raise $10,000 to provide 50 laptops for U.S. students with disabilities via One Laptop Per Child.

As OLPC's Giulia D'Amico [says](http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/Horn-Group-Launches-Tech-Halls-DJ-Competition-Raise-Money-One-Laptop-per-Child-1592414.htm?ref=hypebot.com):

"These computers are vital to empowering disabled students in an increasingly connected and digital world — each laptop is a catalyst for helping previously marginalized children learn and transform the community around them."

On December 16, ten prominent figures in tech media, who are still to be announced, will face off in dj battles on [Turntable.fm](http://www.turntable.fm/?ref=hypebot.com). Each battle will last 30 minutes, audiences will vote and the donation to OLPC will be made in the name of the dj with the highest score.

Names of the matchups won't be announced until December 16 on [this page](http://www.horngroup.com/techthehalls?ref=hypebot.com).

**Even if you aren't checking out the battles, you can [donate now](http://www.crowdrise.com/techthehalls?ref=hypebot.com) and help get laptops to disabled kids in the States.**
