# Ticketing M&A: Ticketmaster Acquires Sherpa.be, Vendini Acquires In Ticketing

This week Ticketmaster announced the acquisition of Belgium-based Sherpa.be. They will be joining the Ticketmaster Belgium team that launched this year. San Francisco-based Vendini also announced their acquisition of In Ticketing this week. This move expands their presence in music events while also adding additional mobile and social ticketing tech developed by In Ticketing.

**Ticketmaster International x Sherpa.be**

Ticketmaster's [acquisition](http://investors.livenationentertainment.com/news-center/news-center-details/2014/TICKETMASTER-INTERNATIONAL-ACQUIRES-BELGIUMS-SHERPABE/default.aspx?ref=hypebot.com) of [Sherpa.be](http://www.sherpa.be/?ref=hypebot.com) strengthens their move into Belgium.

Ticketmaster expanded into Belgium earlier this year. They had previously [acquired France-based Ticketnet](http://www.ticketnews.com/news/Live-Nation-acquires-French-ticketing-company-Ticketnet111009673?ref=hypebot.com) in 2010\. In January of this year they officially [launched Ticketmaster in Belgium](http://www.eventplanner.tv/news/6083%5Fticketmaster-launches-in-belgium-by-the-acquisition-of-ticketnet.html?ref=hypebot.com) as part of that acquisition process.

The President of Ticketmaster International, Mark Yovich, summed up the news:

“With operations in 14 European countries, this expansion in Belgium is another strategic step for Ticketmaster International as we continue to provide the most innovative products and services in the ticketing industry."

**Vendini x In Ticketing**

Though Ticketmaster continues to roll up as much of the ticketing industry as they can, smaller ticketing companies continue to grow and develop. This week San Francisco's [Vendini](https://www.vendini.com/?ref=hypebot.com) announced their purchase of [In Ticketing](http://www.inticketing.com/?ref=hypebot.com).

In 2012 Vendini [acquired Dataflow Workspace](http://www.marketwired.com/press-release/Vendini-Signs-Definitive-Agreement-Acquire-Dataflow-Workspace-Software-Create-1699904.htm?ref=hypebot.com) which provided software for ticketing and box office management.

With the [acquisition of In Ticketing](http://www.marketwatch.com/story/vendinir-acquires-in-ticketingr-2014-09-09?ref=hypebot.com), Vendini continues to develop their tech capabilities as well as increasing their presence in the music space:

"In Ticketing provides online and box office ticketing for hundreds of venues, promoters, and festivals such as Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, Gathering of the Vibes music festival and the newly-launched Infinity Music Hall in Hartford, CT. In Ticketing innovations such as the InHand Mobile Box office, ScalperGuard fraud prevention/risk management suite and a high-demand ticket lottery platform will now be available through Vendini…"

"The Vendini solution includes online ticketing, responsive websites, integrated email, social marketing and back office management solutions. The In Ticketing solution adds a far-reaching affiliate network for event promotion, event ticket insurance and extensive reporting features."
