$1 million in seed funding was raised from Atom Factory (lead by Lady GaGa manager Troy Carter), Google Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Index Ventures, True Ventures, and Advancit Capital, according to the [New York Times](DJZ%20has $1 million in seed funding from Atom Factory %28company of tech-minded Lady GaGa manager Troy Carter%29, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Index Ventures, Google Ventures, True Ventures, and Advancit Capital.).

Scheduled to launch on October 31st (Halloween), DJZ will combine music, videos, news and playlists from top DJ's a;ong with a healthy "how to" component.
