The specifics of the move calls into question the future of Twitter's Periscope app.

Much like Facebook and Instagram, Twitter has added the ability to broadcast live video.

To start a Twitter broadcast, tap the button to compose a new tweet and then tap “live.” Users can frame a shot and start shooting video. During the broadcast, viewers who see your broadcast on their timelines can tap in, comment, and send hearts. To kick off this new ability to #GoLive, artists [Vic Mensa](https://twitter.com/VicMensa?ref=hypebot.com) and [KNA](https://twitter.com/OKKenna?ref=hypebot.com) produced a song, "Live Like This (Go Live)" to "inspire others to use the power Twitter and Periscope has provided users worldwide to share what's happening in our always changing world." The song, featured in [this video](https://twitter.com/twitter/status/809035848138178562?ref=hypebot.com) that was used to announce this new integration, was just debuted on Twitter. The first lyrics in this song, the artists focused on what the power to #GoLive has meant for them – especially focusing on how it has inspired social change:

*Live*

*Revolution arrived*

*The rush amazing*

*IN FRONT OF YOUR EYES*

*From the streets to the press.*

*Will we survive?*
