Universal Music Group and [Kiwibox](http://kiwibox.com/?ref=hypebot.com), a social networking destination and online magazine for teens have [announced](http://www.earthtimes.org/articles/show/universal-music-group-umg-partners-with-kiwiboxcom,571689.shtml?ref=hypebot.com) that UMG videos will be available on the site. UMG video content will be ad supported and Kiwibox, artists, labels and copyright holders will all receive a share of revenue from the ads.

The deal may signal Universal’s willingness to cut revemue sharing deals with smaller niche sites. For while Kiwibox delivers a targeted teen demo and its numbers are growing (see Alexa charts [here](http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic%5Fdetails/kiwibox.com?ref=hypebot.com)), the destination’s Alexa web ranking is 24,289 compared to MySpace at #7.
