Warner Bros. Records today announced the appointment of Peter Thea as Executive Vice President, Creative Operations. Thea served as EVP of Universal Republic & Island Def Jam from 2011 to 2013, prior to which he spent twelve years on the senior management team at Jive Records.

Thea will work closely with newly appointed WBR President Dan McCarroll on A&R strategy and the development of creative initiatives.

“I am thrilled to be joining Cameron, Dan, and the entire WBR team,” said Peter Thea. “It’s very exciting to be at a label I have admired for so many years for its passionate devotion to artists and their music. It’s a dynamic time in the company’s great history, and I look forward to being a part of the next chapter and working with everyone to develop long-term musical careers for WBR’s present and future roster of exceptional talent.”
