No, [Apple will not be shutting down its music download store](https://www.hypebot.com/report-that-apple-is-closing-itunes-download-store-is-bullsht/). But that doesn't mean that there won;t be important announcements that effect music and the music industry.

Just one year after launching, Apple Music will get a major overhaul Both [*Bloomberg*](http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-05-04/apple-to-revamp-streaming-music-service-after-mixed-reviews-departures?ref=hypebot.com) and [*9to5Mac*](http://9to5mac.com/2016/05/04/apple-music-ios-10-revamp/?ref=hypebot.com) report that Apple Music will see major re-design aimed at simplifying its confusing interface. *9to5Mac* adds that the new design will mostly black and white and put more emphasis on album art. A personalized "For You" section will reportedly be put from and center to help uers discover find new music.

Apple Music’s Connect social media-like section will reportedly be de-emphasized in the new design. Artists have not been pushing content to Connect and the hope is that by removing the section and pushing artist updates onto their individual pages, Apple can spark more interest, In theory, its a move that could be good for artists who would now have a chance to connect with fans as they are searching for their music.
