I’m always honored and excited when invited to be on an episode of the long-running Music Biz Weekly Podcast, so when Micahel asked if I’d join again (Jay was at Americanafest), I said yes without hesitation.

Our discussion started with an article I’d just published on Hypebot, “**[NFTs promised to save music; now, they are officially WORTHLESS](https://www.hypebot.com/nfts-promised-to-save-indie-music-now-they-are-officially-worthless/).”** This once $17 billion market is now worth, at best, $80 million, or 3% of peak valuation. Ouch!

But that was just the start, with topics ranging from how to grow a fanbase in 2023 (it is still very possible), the power of the[ **Bandsintown For Artists**‘ free toolkit, ](https://artists.bandsintown.com/?ref=hypebot.com)YouTube, and much more. *– Bruce Houghton*
