# YouTube Down, Wikipedia Hit Yesterday

As of 8:26 AM EDT Thursday, [YouTube.com](http://youtube.com/?ref=hypebot.com) returned the error message: **Http/1.1 Service Unavailable**. The problems had begun a couple of hours earlier, but YouTube videos embedded on other sites including [Hypebot](https://www.hypebot.com/twestival/) were still playable according to a quick survey.

**UPDATE:** YouTube is back up. Downtown was about 2+ hours. 

 Yesterday, [Wikipedia](http://www.wikipedia.org/?ref=hypebot.com) was down for several hours delivering a DNS error. The reasons behind each site are unclear. **Stay tuned for updates…**
