However they are one route to making more on YouTube and many musicians are joining up including such stars as Will.iam, Tiësto, Pitbull and Courtney Love. Here's a roundup of recent MCN news with a special focus on deals with big stars. **Will.i.am x Maker Studios** Will.i.am is [joining](http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/william-maker-studios-launch-video-674830?ref=hypebot.com) with [Maker Studios](http://www.makerstudios.com/?ref=hypebot.com) to launch a video "platform" that will feature content for himself and affiliated artists such as Baby Kaely, Cody Wise and Leigh McFall. From the coverage, including other reports, it's not quite clear how this will work but I guess the core is that they'll be monetizing and distributing with Maker more or less like a typical MCN deal. **Pitbull/Courtney Love x Endemol** Both Pitbull and Courtney Love have [signed](http://www.tubefilter.com/2014/01/28/pitbull-courtney-love-ink-digital-deals-with-endemol/?ref=hypebot.com) with [Endemol](http://www.endemol.com/?ref=hypebot.com) which has an MCN, Endemol Beyond, but is a much bigger media company. Pitbull's is the bigger deal to "develop projects across television and digital media, including on his very own YouTube channel under the shiny new Endemol Beyond umbrella." Courtney Love signed to do a web series about herself. Base79 will be managing both his and his own record label's YouTube channels. **Ministry of Sound x Base79** Ministry of Sound has [reupped](http://www.thevideoink.com/news/base79-renews-partnership-ministry-sound/?ref=hypebot.com) with Base79\. The label has 16 associated brand and artist channels that will be managed by Base79.
