UNG TO LAUNCH THE INTERATIONAL MUSIC FEED TV CHANNEL

Universal_8 The Universal Music Group is set to launch it’s own video channel THE INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FEED.  Few details are available, but it appears likely that the channel will feature primarily (or entirely?) UMG’s worldwide artists presented with an international flair.  While its hard to imagine watching a channel knowing that it’s only programming music and videos from a single (albeit large) source,  kudos appear in order for their international approach.  In an increasingly global cultural, travel, and business environment, it’s encouraging to see someone bringing this sensibility to the enjoyment of music.

Schuon_andyHITS reports that industry vet Andy Schoun (pictured) is heading the channel and a web site filled with hints of the future can be found @ http://www.internationalized.com/ .

  1. Good for you! It’s about time some one is having a national television program with good music for a change! Maybe who knows I might be a guest on your program. Thank you again for doing this. Jerry Eugene Biddle

  2. IMF the greatest international tv station.
The music is so awesome and the variety of countries and styles is totally wicked!

  3. I just discovered IMF while browsing the TV the other day; now, it’s the only station I ever watch! Thanks a bunch, Universal!

  4. IMF is awesome! its so cool hearing other artists from different countries and cultures! iv’e been waiting for a station like this!

  5. Mostly all I see on the IMF channel is American and European videos. There are barely any Asian ones shown. The Asian videos that ARE shown are in my opinion, not the best choice. Maybe you could show more popular artists like Ayumi Hamasaki, BoA, Hikaru Utada, Kelly Chen, Namie Amuro, Palmy, Girly Berry, Gackt, L’arc’en~ciel, T.M.Revolution, Do As Infinity, Sammi Cheng, Yuki Hsu, Faye Wong, and other great artists.
Basically, I would just like to see more Asian artists included in this channel and I’m sure many others feel the same way.

  6. i like this music channel because i love to listen to international music. i haven’t seen any asian music. i have to agree with leigh. i would like to listen to those artists. they are harder to find their music then the usa or uk.

  7. The show “The Bridge: Latin America” is a good except that they only show the same countries u kno like Spain, Mexico, Colombia, and Argentina u should start showin stuff from other countries like Don Omar from Puerto Rico and Crooked Stilo from El Salvador.

  8. I agree with lain. Please put more asian artists on the channel. Japan has the second largest music business in the world. There should definitely be more coverage of it.

  9.
