Edgar Says WMG’s Sales Decline Is A Good Thing…

"This decline is steeper than we expected, but in some ways it means we’ll get to the bottom faster, and after that there’s growth," WMG head Edgar Bronfman said during a discussion on CNBC.   

His carfully planned solution that somehow will take months if not years to impliment?  "We’re going to be putting out video and ringtones and ringback tones, then connecting them to blogs and ticketing opportunities when the artist goes on tour, merchandising, you name it".

    “Revenue is down but that’s okay because the Iphone will change the music industry.”
    “Sure we’re selling less records, but our manufacturing costs are at an all-time low”
    “Eventually our Warner Music stock will be delisted, but after that happens there is nowhere to go but up”
    “Do you think Doug Morris parts his hair like this?”
