WE7 Grabs $6 Million From Peter Gabriel, Sparks and Eden

We7 We7, the ad supported music download service has secured an additional $6 million in Series A funding. The round was led by musician Peter Gabriel and Spark Ventures alongside Eden Ventures whole will join the management team. 

“2007 was an outstanding year for We7 with almost 100,000 registers users, downloading over 1 million tracks of great music," said Steve Purdham, CEO of We7. "Our model is simple, fans get great music, advertisers get listened to and performers and artists get paid. This funding will allow us to focus on growth."
