Bandwidth2008_3
The Bandwith Music & Technology Conference takes place in San Francisco on August 14 and 15, and this rising star on the music conference circuit just announced a stellar lineup of panels and speakers. $350 early registration ends July 31st; after that its $395.

But if your budget leans more towards noodles than sushi, Hypebot has 2 passes to give away free

And while we’d love to hear what you think of Bandwidth, unlike
other Hypebot conference give aways this one does not require that you
write about your experiences. We’ve already got our man in SF, Laurence Trifon, ready to share a detailed an account of the goings on.

All you have to do to win this time is leave a comment below telling us
who you are and what you are up to. (After all, Hypebot readers are an
interesting bunch.) About a week before the conference, we’ll randomly
pick two to each win a ticket to Bandwidth ’08.  PS: The transport and the floor to sleep on are your problem.

  2. I am a new media publicist (i.e. blogs, websites, podcasts) and consultant to mostly jazz musicians – but I seek out musicians who both straddle multiple scenes (jazz & indie rock; jazz & folk music; playing & booking, etc.). I also try to seek out musicians who are already hip to various aspects of new media/Web 2.0 in order to expose these musicians to the “viral crowd,” while also teaching them a thing or two about how to do business in their best interests. I read Hypebot religiously and have turned many musicians I work with on to the various artist tools you write about such as TuneCore, NimBit, ArtistData and Last.fm.

  3. I am co-founder and CFO of MixMatchMusic, Ltd., a social community that empowers musicians to collaborate on works online, engage their fans, and profit from their works. I also write for our blog, EvolvngMusic.

  4. Hello Hypebot. I’m 27 years old, and I just finished my MBA degree in June. I’m working on finding that perfect job. I’ve been in bands all my life (most recently a punk rock band in San Diego called Orion Frequency, now defunct). I began as a recording engineer for five years in LA, DC and San Diego. I interned at Apple iTunes during my MBA program but couldn’t get hired, and recently did some strategy work for Sony Electronics. Since getting married in May and finishing up school, I’ve been networking and trying to find a job where I can use my passion for music, creativity and business knowledge to help musicians make money. I think attending Bandwidth would help me meet some of the people I need to know to make that happen. Thanks for the opportunity.

  7. Hey Hypebot! Love the Site, really Inovative.
I am a 22 year old making moves in the music business. I currently work in the Urban Marketing Deparment at Interscopee Records and I am an Indepedent Contractor for the David Rose Publishing company. I am finishing my Music Business degree with a minor in Busniess Law and due law school applications, and all the rest funds are tight. However, I would love to attend this event and think I am best suited to attend this event because I am YOUNG, DRIVEN, and INOVATIVE just like this site. The same qualities that I think need to to be exhibited at this event for young and the old to embrace evolving technologies; so this evolving industry can move in a direction that enhances musicanship, as well as, the protection of the intellctual property of artists and music business professionals.

  8. Brian Zisk here, currently sitting in the Social Media and User Generated Media panel at the Building Blocks conference in San Jose.
Going to conferences is like eating potato chips, one is not enough.
And the Bandwidth Conference is extremely cool. Actually met my wife at the first one.
It’d be great to meet some Hypebot readers at this one, which looks really good….

  9. Just at work… work at an indie pr boutique in New York City (Fanatic Promotion) and run my record label (Twentyseven Records) on top of writing, blogging, helping artists book shows around New York City. Stuff.

  10. Hi,
My name is Matt Monday. I work at iTunes and have recently become very interested in music again. I will not be able to attend this conference if I don’t win these tickets, and I will be pretty sad if I don’t. EVEN IF I DON’T win, keep a look out for me because I plan to make some big changes in this world!
Peace in the Middle East 🙂

  11. Good morning Hypebot!!
Consultant and Artist Manager Larry Braverman in NYC. I am currently working with clients to gain exposure and monetize their new creative works. I would welcome the opportunity to see, meet and hear the impressive panel of speakers that the Bandwidth Music & Technology Conference has assembled and learn some new approaches to marketing the music experience.

  12. Hola Hypebot,
I am the Business Development and Licensing Manager for NAxos, the World’s Leading Independent Classical Label and Distribution… I would LOVE to check this conference out as I think there are anumber of new and exciting things happening that we can be a part of.

  13. I’m a musician who doesn’t make enough money to pay rent. Even though I have a band that does quite well locally (opened up to a sold out Red Rocks crowd recently), I work a full time job. Product management and code monkey duties at a large ringtone company currently pays the bills. I want to be a better blogger (and am trying -> charleyhine.com). Not sure which angle of the industry I want to really tackle yet. Keeping a strong eye and ear on apps like theBizMo and topSpin (they were funded by some local VC I know). Band tools -> helping them find the right unique model for them etc. I’m 26 and live in Denver, CO.
