I've Joined Band Metrics' New Advisory Board

Band Metrics, a TechCrunch50 2008 semi-finalist, has announced its initial advisory board and I'm proud to join record industry veteran and friend Barney Kilpatrick and music technology expert Parag Chordia in forming the core to advisory team.

Band Metrics "provides a first-of-its-kind semantic web application for the music industry that aggregates and analyzes large amounts of data about where and how music is played, shared and discussed online, providing a decision support system for both artists and music industry professionals in an easy-to-use dashboard." That's a mouthful, but in an industry increasingly driven by internet based music discovery, the results that Band Metrics delivers should become an essential decision making tool. (more)
