  1. Cute, but really – she shoulda known what she was getting into when she signed with a label like Roadrunner. Her manager should be fired. Lawyer too. Notfernuthin’.

  2. This is crazy! But what is more scary than crazy is that lots of artists are going through similar situations. Thanks for posting the truth about the music business.
Until the next post, much love, peace, and medicated hair grease.

  3. A classic case of artist vs label! I know about 10 signed artists whom I’ve spoken with here in Atlanta, who are signing the same exact song! LMAO…Manager and Lawyer are not at fault…she probably wanted the deal to start with (most of the artists who are singing this song begged for their deals in spite of warnings from lawyers and managers). In the end, there are no good record labels to be signed to in the current market.

  4. Truly the god damn funniest thing I have EVER READ…as an artist that was on Roadrunner for a while I wish I had thought of this!

  5. this is pathetic. if she didn’t have a label like roadrunner pushing her to begin with she’d be singing in beer soaked back halls. so ungrateful. you KNOW what you are getting into if you sign to a major label. money and promotion in exchange for a large piece of the pie and NO freedom. so she wants to get dropped to take the fire the label has flamed for her and live off that with her artist run label?? get real. you’re screwed b!tch. shouldn’t have signed the deal with the devil in the first place. not manager’s fault. not lawyer’s fault. its your greedy/lazy inclinations that did you in.

  6. Why does anyone believe what Amanda Palmer says? She’s proven she’ll say or do anything to get publicity. She’s a mediocre, wannabe rock musician who ironically can’t sing or play and writes shallow, crappy songs. Like most people who lack talent, she makes up for it with spectacle, dancing around naked like so many attention whores before her. Meh.
