Tommy Mottola Gets Virtual With Planet Cazmo

Planet Cazmo, a virtual world for tweens and teens, has partnered with music industry veteran Tommy Mottola to expand its  Virtual Concert Series and other music and branded content initiatives. Monetization is one the goals of the partnership as they work to bring celebrity content into the virtual world in the form of virtual goods via  microtransactions.

Planet Cazmo also announced that Island Def Jam,
and The Jive Label Group will join Interscope-Geffen and Epic Records.in presenting artists as part of the Virtual Concert Series. Planet Cazmo has previously hosted virtual concerts with Soulja Boy Tell 'Em, David Archuleta, Jordin Sparks,
Kristinia Debarge, Ciara, Natasha Bedingfield, and The Clique Girlz drawing hundreds of thousands of kids.
