(Update 2) Two sites that land at the top of almost every music searches have been hit hard within the last 24 hours.
As of 8:26 AM EDT Thursday, YouTube.com returned the error message: Http/1.1 Service Unavailable. The problems had begun a couple of hours earlier, but YouTube videos embedded on other sites including Hypebot were still playable according to a quick survey.
UPDATE: YouTube is back up. Downtown was about 2+ hours.
Yesterday, Wikipedia was down for several hours delivering a DNS error. The reasons behind each site are unclear. Stay tuned for updates…
