More News: Facebook Launches Live Video Channel, G-Unit To EMI & Rhino Gets New CEO

  • Facebook is jumping into live video with its own new app called Facebook Live. But unlike Ustream and others that offer live video features for Facebook Pages, Facebook Live will offer a live view of the the social networking company rather than serve as a platform for others. Coming soon: Live concerts from the Facebook office. In a statement, the company said that Facebook Live  will “be your window into what’s new at Facebook,” including celebrity guests that stop by, demos of new features and other events.

  • Warner Music Group has promoted Kevin Gore to President and Chief Executive Off icer of Rhino Entertainment, WMG’s catalog and licensing division. Gore will also serve as Co-Chairman of Frank Sinatra Enterprises (WMG's joint venture with the Sinatra family) along with Robert Finkelstein. Gore succeeds Scott Pascucci who, in his nine-year tenure at Rhino.
