Slacker Introduces Exclusive Plain White T’s Station

image from highrize.files.wordpress.com Slacker is now featuring a Plain White T's curated radio station, and even if you're not a fan of the pop rock group, it's worth checking out. On this "Spotlight" station, music selected by The Plain White T's plays, as well as, song introductions from the group and a few exclusive songs from their newest album The Wonders of the Younger.

Having a well-known artist create a playlist isn't a new idea, but the way that Slacker does it is refreshing.

The station combines eclectic song selections with artists talking about music that inspires them. Honestly, there's nothing new about this formula either, had traditional radio not abandoned it years ago. Given that The Plain White T's are known for "Hey There Delilah" and other teenage girl anthems, it's tempting to approach the station with a closed mind, but there's many gems to be found.

And of course, if you're a fan of The Plain White T's, then this is the perfect way to gain insight into the group and gain an exclusive peak at their newest music.

Soon, Slacker will be launching its on-demand service.

Content like this will be what helps keep users engaged with their service. What's great about the spotlight stations is that it gives users a peak at tracks that they wouldn't have heard otherwise, had a close friend not suggested it. The difference here is that your friend is The Plain White T's, and their suggestions are noteable.

It will help separate Slacker from its many competitors.
