WMG $3 Billion Sale Could Be Completed This Week

The purchase price is likely to be just north of $3 billion with this third round of bids a duel between Len Blavatnik and his Access Industry, and Tom and Alec Gores' Platinum Equity and Gores Group.

An group of investors that included Ron Burkle and Napster founder Sean Parker reportedly dropped out of the auction last week as did Live Nation.
