Singer-songwriter David Gray becomes the first artist to release an album exclusively on daily deals site GroupOn with today's launch of "Lost and Found-Live in Dublin 2011". Available for $6, Downtown Recordings' RCRDLBL is powering the offering. Recorded during Gray's Foundling tour, the album features 12 live songs and GroupOn ssubscribers can sample a track free via a RCRDLBL widget.
The deal, which GroupOn describes as "a $13 value, available for $6" will be available for four days. RCRDLBL technology will also deliver the digital album purchase.
“These shows have been so precious to me," said Gray :It only seemed like a shame that more people wouldn't get to see them, but now, thanks to the magic of technology, exactly that is possible, and at just the click of a digital switch."
