Beats by Dr. Dre and Monster announced the availability of Heartbeats by Lady Gaga. To help drive Gaga's Little Monsters into a frenzy, they're also running an Edge of Glory contest via Facebook.

Diet Pepsi is launching a throwback You Got the Right One Baby, Uh-Huh! Ray Charles t-shirt collection available in multiple retail outlets and at the online Pepsi Shop. It's said to be inspired by a Diet Pepsi and Ray Charles campaign from the 1990's featuring 11 commercials over the course of 3 years.

Carlos Santana has joined the board of Casa Noble Tequila and also received an ownership stake. Mr. Santana says he felt a "spiritual connection" to Casa Noble and the Hermosillo family when he visited the distillery. Now that's an endorsement!

Ford, Coca-Cola and the U.S. Air Force Reserve are all sponsoring the AMERICAN IDOL LIVE! Tour currently in progress. Ford is offering fans tickets and opportunities to go backstage, Coca-Cola is teaming with McDonald's to sponsor IDOL visits to Ronald McDonald houses on tour stops and IDOLS are making appearances at Air Force bases and shooting a PSA.

Virgin Mobile USA announced the date and lineup for the 2011 Virgin Mobile FreeFest presented for the sixth year by Kyocera Wireless. Free tickets are available Friday, July 15, at 10 am at facebook.com/virginmobilelive,

BET is partnering with the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) to help market UNCF An Evening of Stars. Target is this year's presenting sponsor. Additional sponsors include McDonald's, AT&T, American Airlines, Wells Fargo, BET Networks, Buick and the U.S. Army.

Since Hypebot has its own Music Industry Jobs listing, I wouldn't normally mention a job opening in this report. But I've always felt Vans was one of the more interesting companies marketing with music and they're looking for a Music Marketing Coordinator.
