For a mere one hundred dollars you can buy yourself a 1 terabyte hard drive and store all of your tunes indefinitely. Why paying a streaming service or cloud software several hundred dollars a year to listen to music you already own makes any sense is still beyond me.


"Music desperately needs “one big database” so that if you zap your collection to one service, you can move it to another with ease. Otherwise, we can’t truly have confidence in moving to the cloud." It would appear that Google is angling for the job; no word on how they intend to monetize it.
