Eventbrite Nabs EDM Promoter Disco Donnie

image from www.google.com(UPDATED) Self-service ticketing platform Eventbrite has announced a partnership with Disco Donnie Presents, the producer of nearly 1000 electronic dance music shows a year.  It's Eventbrite's first major deal with the growing group of successful independent EDM promoters; and for Disco Donnie Estopinal, the deal suggests he's less likely to join the rush by other EDM concert companies to sell to Live Nation/Tickemaster.

Eventbrite logoThis partnership follows Eventbrite’s recent announcement of $1 billion in ticket sales and European expansion. The platform has been localized in 11 countries, including the UK, Ireland, Spain, France, Germany and The Netherlands.

Disco Donnie Presents, has announced Labor Day weekend festivals using the Eventbrite platform in El Paso and South Padre Island featuring David Guetta, Above & Beyond, Knife Party, Armin Van Buuren, Kaskade, and Flux Pavilion

CORRECTION: Reader Brian Zisk points out correctly that Disco Connie has sold to SFX/Live Nation Founder Bob Sillerman.
