Grooveshark Android App Pulled By Google …Again

image from www.google.comEarlier this week Grooveshark proudly announced: "After working closely with Google to get rogue apps removed, we're delighted that the official Grooveshark app has been reinstated in the Android market."  But as of today, the Grooveshark app has been once again removed from Google's app marketplace.

Grooveshark has been the subject of intense criticism from the music industry along with several lawsuits.   It would logically follow that pressure from the labels – whom Google already have a rocky relationship with over mp3 search – led to the latest removal.

Android users who want the app can still download it directly from Grooveshark's mobile site.

  1. No idea what you are talking about. Name a few things that you can do on Apple that I cannot do on an Android. Android is a relatively new platform, and the amount of software being released is nearly torrential. While I am endlessly impressed by Steve Jobs and his ability to tranform Apple, I just don’t like the closed architecture or iTunes.
