Updates to a variety of key social media tools used by musicians may help your marketing efforts. Pinterest has officially added business accounts, Twitter now supports emailing individual tweets and badges are available to publicize your Instagram web profile. One bit of news, Facebook adding iTunes gift card to Facebook Gifts, would be much bigger if fans could gift specific pieces of music.
Pinterest Adds Business Accounts
Though many bands and businesses have a presence on Pinterest it was only in recent weeks that Pinterest added business accounts. Pinterest for Business highlights a few features and shares some examples of why your music business should be on Pinterest.
Email Tweets Directly from Twitter
Twitter recently added a simple option for sharing tweets by email. Simply "click on the 'More' icon next to the reply, retweet and favorite buttons in order to email a Tweet to anyone you know." You can also add a comment. Try not to overdo it but every now and then a tweet really is worth sharing with a journalist.

Facebook Gifts Adds iTunes Gift Cards
Unfortunately you can only buy your friends the iTunes gift cards rather than specific songs or albums on iTunes. If that changes then encouraging music gifting via Facebook/iTunes will be worth considering.
