Madison, Wisconsin's Sunspot are promoting their new EP "Arthuriana" with a 6 state string of shows over the course of a single day. Tomorow they'll be performing the songs from "Arthuriana" and streaming the whole event live online from performances to the "inevitable mania within the van." Should be worth checking out, whatever your musical interests, to see how they handle the project especially given they've been podcasting and exploring interactive media since 2005.

For some bands this would be a recipe for disaster with lots of opportunities for things to go wrong. But they started their Road Mania Podcast [YouTube / Podcaster] in 2005 while driving in their van to a show so they've probably figured out a few things by now.
An article from 2009 about their activities shows them experimenting with mobile and interactive elements. Today they are still doing the Road Mania Podcast and are now just over 200 episodes.
About tomorrow's event, Sunspot's Mike Huberty states:
""The new EP, Arthuriana, is all about feeling unstuck in time, about not being in the place where you feel like you should be and with that feeling, to stop wasting the time you do have and creating that place for yourself. That's exactly what we're doing with this Road Mania Live adventure with as many places as plausible in the shortest time possible!""
