OpenAura Opens Free Artist Info API, 8tracks First To Sign On
OpenAura, a new platform that aggregates and syndicates authentic artist identity, has launched its first API in public beta. Developers can now integrate this free catalog of artist images and information into their music apps, services and sites. Net radio network 8tracks is the first to sign on.
In addition to the free Artist Info API, OpenAura also offers a premium version that provides access to a full set of images, information and social content that the platform aggregates via a single, uniform API interface.
Artists can sign up to OpenAura for free to claim and curate their Aura, which is updated across apps and services like 8tracks that leverage the OpenAura Artist Info API.
8tracks is a curated Internet radio network that delivers playlists based on taste, activity or mood. Its integration of OpenAura’s Artist Info Classic API means that artists can now manage how they are represented to the nearly 7 million listeners who tune into 8tracks’ playlists each month.
