IEBA Announces Fall Talent Buyers Conference

image from ieba.orgConventions. Who needs another convention?  Well, if you're a professional or artist involved in live entertainment, IEBA has evolved into a must go event. I'm a repeat attendee and beyond the usual panels and networking, I like IEBA because it is an event where real business gets done.

The International Entertainment Buyers Association (IEBA), a trade organization for live entertainment professionals, has announced the agenda for its 45th Annual Conference Oct. 10 – 13, 2015 at the Omni Nashville and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

2015 Golden Globe winning actor Jeffrey Tambor will deliver the keynote address “Performing Your Life.” Tambor has been captivating audiences for over forty years with his clever performances of eccentric characters in over 180 films and television shows such as Arrested Development, The Larry Sanders Show, The Hangover, and There’s Something about Mary.

Grammy-nominated Producer and DJ Morgan Page will lead a conversation on the establishment of EDM as a permanent fixture in live entertainment and perform on Monday night. Other panels will highlight live event upgrades and optimization tools that can be leveraged to generate incremental dollars throughout the event lifecycle. Joe Kustelski, CEO of Etix, will explore capturing data and dollars through mobile.

Pam Mathews“Our industry is in the midst of a sea change,” states IEBA Executive Director Pam Matthews. “The way fans experience live entertainment is evolving. The key word here is experience. Existing technologies for ticketing, data metrics, IT/Wi-Fi, event apps, integrated social campaigns and analytic-based marketing strategies are constantly fine-tuned to improve the fan experience. Platforms new just a few seasons ago, like RFID and cashless payment, are becoming commonplace. New solutions are continually emerging, and those innovations will make for interesting conversations at our Conference this year.”
