14 Music Industry Predictions For 2016
2016 may hold a lot of uncertainty for the music industry, but that isn't going to stop us from making predictions about what the year will bring for both fans and artists alike.
In this fourteen-point list, MusicThinkTank contributor Jason K. Ventura offers several predictions about what streaming services, labels, artists, and others can expect to see throughout the coming year.
"4) Major artists will continue to rebel against streaming services like Spotify. These artists will pull or ban their music from these streaming services. (ex. Taylor Swift and Adele)
5) True artists will realize their music value. However, it will take time to restore the value of music throughout the music industry. Music will not restore its value by traditional distribution patterns or even streaming services."
