Chinese music video app Tik Tok has far surpassed the competition with more than 45.8 million downloads over the last three months.Known as Douyin in China, Tik Tok is a music video and social messaging app. Users can shoot and edit short clips, then add music and special effects to them. Tik Tok is owned by the same company that acquired social music video app Musical.ly for between $800 million and $1 billion last year.
