Incorporating ideas from other viral content, such as dances, images or even phrases is an easy way to do this. For example, the phrase ‘cracking open a cold one with the boys’ spiked online in June 2017, and using this as the hook for a summer party anthem would have been a great way to siphon off some of that popularity.
