Guitar Center Rig Advisor brings AI to in-store shopping
AI created songs flooding music streamers create unfair competition. But from mixing and mastering and critics to advisors, AI is also reshaping the lives of musicians in positive ways. In that vein, Guitar Center has launched Rig Advisor, which brings an AI-powered shopping assistant directly onto the store floor.
Now live in locations nationwide, Rig Advisor is a mobile-based tool that helps musicians discover, compare, and explore gear prioritizing products available at that store location. Unlike traditional e-commerce filters or backend tools, it was built specifically for the in-store experience.
Customers scan a QR code in-store, type in an artist, song, tone, or gear-related question, and Rig Advisor delivers instant recommendations based on what is in stock at that specific location.
