Ouch. Overall CD sales were slow for the week ending January 7th down 18% over the same week in 2006. It took the Dreamgirls soundtrack only 66,000 units to top the chart. The
previous record for poorest-selling chart-topper was set by
OutKast’s "Speakerboxxx/The Love Below," which sold 86,000 units during the week ending January 25, 2004.
