In just days, millions of free Apple Music trials will start to expire [see our countdown clock]. While it's doubtful that Apple will share stats, how many are willing to pay for the service will answer whether consumers are as excited by Apple Music as the media is.

Apple Music has amassed 15 million users, music industry sources tell the New York Post. Of those, 7.5 million have not turned off auto-pay and are poised to begin paying for the music service in the coming days.

While its likely that some users will get charged once, realize that they forgot to shut off auto-pay, and cancel next month, here is how Apple Musics' 15 million/7.5 million compares to Spotify:

Since launching in 2011, Spotify has grown to 20 million paid users and another 55-60 million you use its free version.

If the Post's numbers hold up, Apple Music has attracted 25-35% of Spotify's paid customer base in just 6% of the time.
