(UPDATED) Facebook lost 6 million users in the U.S. last month, according to a tracking report by Inside Facebook, falling from 155.2 million to 149.4 million. That's the first time U.S. numbers have dropped in more than a year. Facebook also dropped 1.52 million users in Canada falling 8% to 16.6 million and 100,000 each in the U.K., Norway, and Russia.
Overall Facebook is still up 1.7% because of growth in countries like Mexico and Brazil. It's too early to tell, according to Inside Facebook, if the trend will hold.
