Buzz Media, formerly known as Buzznet, has cut more than 20% of its 75 person staff. Buzz overseas a network of music and entertainment blogs and websites including Stereogum and Idolator. Cuts come in all areas of the company except sales according to paidContent.
Buzz recently recieved $12.5 million in new funding, but “given the overall macroeconomic environment, we’re going to slow down that growth and be more selective," says CEO Tyler Goldman.
