Is the future of radio online? According to Clear Channel Radio, their online division has been the company’s fastest-growing source of revenue in both 2005 and 2006.
Combined digital revenue including cell phone, in-vehicle navigation, online streaming,download subscriptions and all related advertising account for 5% of Clear Channel Radio’s total revenue or about $40.5 million in 1st quarter 2006. Among the most popular features are streaming video-on-demand and music-on-demand.
