Deezer entered the U.S. market today with a standard $9.99 per month with a 30 day trial music offering. While the French based music streamer has 3 million paid and 23 million free users globally, until today, it only offered limited availability in the U.S., including Deezer Elite, a higher quality $19.99 per month service.  Deezer enters a crowded U.S. market dominated by established players including Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Rhapsody, Google, YouTube and Slacker. Late last year, Deezer abruptly cancelled an IPO and instead raised $109 million from some powerful partners: Access Industries, which also own Warner Music Group and Orange, the international telecommunications giant. Deezer has raised a total of $217 million to date.Deezer recently sold its popular Stitcher podcast service to Scripps for $4.5 million and expanded it music discovery offerings.
