(UPDATED) In an interview with new eMusic CEO Adam Stein and Danny Klein who heads parent JDS/Dimensional, the pair revealed their plans for growing the music download subscription service. Their effort to broaden eMusic's reach will begin with a redesigned site launching in the last quarter
Stein and Klein also plan to let eMusic subscribers stream the music that they’ve bought there (and possibly bought elsewhere) to their computers and mobile handsets beginning sometime next year. They claim they won't have to pay an additional royalties to add this feature; though labels have sent mixed messages in the subject in recent weeks. It's also unclear if eMusic will charge subscribers more for the bandwidth heavy service.
